Looking outside, it’s hard to believe that spring is on the way – but based the volume of registrants received so far, after our first registration night, I think it’s safe to say that may of us are ready to start thinking about getting outdoors again!
For those registered already, you should have received an invite to Team Snap for our upcoming skills clinics. If you haven’t received an invite, please let me know (springfieldminorsoftball@gmail.com).
SMSA IS LOOKING FOR COACHES!
We know you’re out there! Whether you are interested in taking on a head coach or assistant coach position, SMSA will be there to help get you started and provide as much support as you need. Training is provided by SMSA and Softball MB also offers a coaching certification course to obtain your coaching certification if you’re interested. SMSA covers the clinic expense for those coaching in the current season and entering their team into provincials.

SOFTBALL NIGHT – an evening of skills, games, fun competitions. SMSA uses information gathered at Softball night through player evaluations to assist with player placements when there are more than one team in an age category or a player is being considered for age advancement. We are also able to determine what category a team should be placed into for league based on observations and discussions that evening. Further details to follow but please save the date.
Please remember to register for the 2019 season by the Mar. 10th deadline if you haven’t already. If there are enough players to form a team by March 10th, SMSA will not accept late registrations. (Exceptions may apply in extreme circumstances) As much as we want to see all players register, we also need to be fair to other players, the process and the organizers.
Hope to see you soon!
